Buffybot moved swiftly. She had come from Sunnydale. It had been destroyed. She had to hope that the real Buffy hadn't been killed. She had managed to trace the scooby gang to New York City. She had come as soon as she could.
Now she stood outside the gate. Hundreds of guards stood there. Buffybot didn't understand why. The notion of the world being in turmoil did not compute in her mind. She started to move to the gate. A few guards stopped her. "I'm sorry miss, you can't just walk in," They told her.
Buffybot cocked her head to one side, a puzzled expression on her face. "Why?" It was a simple question. She wanted to know why she couldn't get into the city. "I have to find the real Buffy," She told them truthfully. "So Willow can fix me,"

A tall man dressed in the same swat armor as the other soldiers stepped forward, save the heavy helmet. He had the air of a man who had seen a lot more fighting then the others, one with experience in fighting demons and vampires...
"Stand down!" said Gunn in a commanding voice as he approached the perimeter and saw what appeared to be Buffy Summers...the same Summers who was supposed to be hold up in the hotel, the same Buffy Angel had sent him to help just before L.A. vanished. He'd fought his way east, leading a small group of survivors across the country until they found a refuge.
Things got chaotic after Jasmine had been destroyed, the whole world went haywire, and things got messy. Now he was here, helping to hold the line just as he'd done with Angel a hundred times, only now he didn't know where his friends were. His mission now was to help the slayer...its what Angel...if he was still alive would want. Fred? Wes? Cordelia? Lorne? There was no telling, but searching the wastelands wasn't his idea of a good plan.
"Sir? How do we know its not a-" the closest soldier was reluctant to lower his weapon, but did when Gunn got in his face.
"I said stand down, or do I have to explain what might happen if you don't?" He asked darkly. The response was a nod as the other soldiers backed off.
"Buffy...Buffy Summers?" He asked as he pulled the girl forward past the group of soldiers and into the compound. "I'm Gunn, Charles Gunn...Angels friend from L.A." He said hoping she would remember at least his name. However the odd look on the girls face didn't seem to show a sign of recognition.
"Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't you supposed to be...umm not here? I thought you were hold up with your friends in that fancy hotel." he continued clearly confused. Things had been so busy the last few days, he hadn't got a chance to even say hello to the famous slayer, and he didn't picture meeting the love of Angel's life like this.

Buffybot gazed at Charles Gunn. She had never laid eyes on him before in her life. He thought she was... The real Buffy. At the mention of Angel, a bit of old programming came back. "Angel has stupid hair," She said it automatically, smile still plastered on her face.
Gunn mentioned Buffy. He knew where she was! "Where is the real Buffy?" She asked, her voice urgent. "I need to find her so Willow can fix me!" She explained earnestly. She didn't want to follow orders anymore. She didn't want guns to come out of her hand. She wanted to fight demons and make rough love to Spike. Oops. Old programming again.
((Sorry it's short, I have to get to school. I'll make up for it in other posts. I promise))

The odd quote made Gunn look at her even more strangely. "Well...yeah. He uses product, and I'm thinking you need to lie down." Gunn said agreeing but yet convinced the woman needed some serious down time. Fred used to get that way when they had seen real rough patches. Stress did things to the mind, things that he'd seen in the short time he'd known in his years with Angel.
"The real...? Willow is, well I don't know where Willow is. She might have made it. Come on...let's get you back somewhere to rest up. Then maybe you can find Willow, go back to slaying, and talking about your ex's bad hair. Maybe then the 'real Buffy' will come back." Gunn said kindly as he turned to lead the girl away from the gate. Poor girl...her mind must be just under to much strain.
Another soldier rushed to his side. "Sir we're under strict orders to report any strange activity."
"Then do a report. This girl isn't...ok so she's strange, but she ain't a demon, and she's not a vampire. Now you can get out of my way, cause I'm helping her." He said seriously and moved around the soldier to lead the slayer back to her hotel. "Now, lets get you back to that hotel." Gunn said determined to do something for the obviously confused Buffy.
((ooc - gonna transfer us to the hotel thread if you don't mind, since theres just a few of us right now might be a good way to keep everything moving))
